Splash Pads are an easy and cheap way to cool off in the summer! Safe for any age, splash pads are zero entry with very little to no standing water! There are several located around upper East Tennessee and the Smokies!
But first, here are some tips to maximize your Splash Pad experience!
- Bring and apply sunscreen
- Have your children wear water shoes
- Bring a chair for yourself
- Don’t forget snacks!
Sevier County
Sevierville Family Aquatic Center
Location: 1005 Park Rd. Sevierville Cost: $4/kids, $5 adults, $2.50 for a spectator
The Family Aquatic Center boasts the latest and greatest in water fun! The splash pad is adjacent to the pool and slides. The Family Aquatic Center also has a concession stand!
Jefferson County
Kidz Kountry Park
Location: 3000-3018 Roy Messer Hwy, White Pine Cost: FREE
The splash pad at Kiz Kountry offers several fountains, sprayers and water features. There is ample space to sit in the shade for parents. It is adjacent to a large picnic shelter and playground for all ages. The park also offers tennis and basketball courts, a walking path and more!
Hamblen County
Rotary Splash Pad at Frank Miller Park
Location: 441 West Morris Blvd., Morristown Cost: FREE
There is a guarantee to get wet on this splash pad! It features several water jets, fountains and other exciting water features.
Kawanis Splash Pad at Cherokee Park
Location: 3075 Floyd Hall Dr., Morristown Cost: FREE
This splash pad offers many sprayers, water buckets, and other water features. A beautiful new playground is adjacent to the playground. It has a large pavilion offering shade for those observing the splash pad or playground. The park also offers lake views, a dock, walking trails and more!
Greene County
Eastview Recreation Center
Location: 456 East Bernard Avenue, Greeneville Cost: FREE
This splash pad offers a nice enclosed place to stay cool on the hot summer days!
Washington County
Rotary Park
Location: 1001 North Broadway, Johnson City Cost: FREE
The park is open April through October and is primarily used as a picnic facility in a natural setting. Amenities include six covered picnic shelters, restrooms, picnic tables, multi-use playing field, and a brand new all inclusive playground and splash pad area.
Sullivan County
Steele Creek Park
Location: 4 Little Lane, Bristol Cost: $2 per car
This splash pad offers animal sprayers, fountains and more water fun! There is no seating offered around the splash pad so make sure you bring a chair or blanket!
Riverview Splash Pad
Location: 300 Louis Street, Kingsport Cost: FREE
This safari themed splash pad is sure to be a hit with your kids! The park also offers a playground, a shade canopy, picnic shelters and more.
