Spring Break is coming up quick and you don’t have anything planned!! Don’t worry! I have you covered! Here are some fun filled ideas to do with your child in a pinch!
- Explore new playgrounds! Go to a playground in another area of town, or drive to the next town over to explore what they have to offer!
- Explore a piece of local history. Most towns have something historical that you can visit for free or cheap.
- Visit a local children’s museum.
- Have a play date with friends. This will be fun for your kids and give you some adult time as well!
- Go hiking!
- Take a day trip. Find an activity your family likes to do that is within an hour from your house. Pack up some snacks and activities and take a drive! Spend the day exploring that attraction and all that the area has to offer.
- Play games! This is a popular one in our house. My son is always up for a board game or cards.
- Go camping! You can either do this at a campground, in the backyard, or in the living room!
- Family date! This could be as easy as pizza at home or actually going out to eat. Take the time to linger around the table with your family.
- A reading challenge. If your children are independent readers, take them to the library to pick out books and challenge them to read them all during the week of Spring Break.
- Do a craft! Thanks to Pinterest, we are never without a craft idea! Just type in craft and the age of your child and you will be given multiple ideas!
- Learn a new skill! Spring Break can be a great time to learn something new and it can be as easy as watching a YouTube video to get started! This is a fun activity for the family to do together!
- Plant some Spring flowers. If you live in an area that is starting to show signs of Spring, plant some flowers. Even little ones can help pick out plants and play in the dirt!
- Fly a kite! You know what they say…..”March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.” March is the perfect time to fly a kite.
- Go for a bike ride. Research the closest green way, load up the bikes and go!
- Spend the afternoon making sidewalk chalk creations!
- Have a video game tournament!
- Bake something!
- Go out for breakfast!
- Make your summer vacation plans!
I hope your family has a wonderful Spring Break! I will be sharing all of the things we are getting in to over on my Instagram feed and here on the blog!
