For families with younger children, vacation options seem to always be Disney World or the beach. For some reason, taking our children out of the country seems daunting or far-fetched. It doesn’t have to be! All-inclusive resorts are the perfect option for families and my favorite vacation option as a mom! Here are some of my reasons why!
1. FREE Food and Maid Service
As a mom, knowing I don’t have to clean, make a bed or think about any food options is an amazing vacation right there. Add a sparkling pool, warm weather and a gorgeous beach and it becomes perfect! At an all-inclusive resort you get the hotel maid service that cleans daily and every bit of food is included, all day! Your child wants orange juice with no ice at the pool? Done! You get the munchies for chips and guacamole at 10:00 a.m. at the beach? Delivered right to you! You want ceviche for the 4th day in a row but no one else does? It’s OK because all of the restaurants are available to you! (These may all be true stories….). Eat, drink and be merry all day and never pay a dime! Order more food! You can try every appetizer! And then you can arrive back to your room with sandy feet and know that someone else will clean it up the next day!
2. FREE Child Care
You can have a date night (or morning or afternoon). All-inclusive resorts offer amazing FREE child care options! Most all-inclusive resorts start the free child care at age 3 or potty trained. Beaches resorts offer FREE child care to babies as well! The child care options include tons of themed activities during the day, and in the evenings, so you can workout, nap, have a couples massage or have a date! And you can know your child is safe and having a blast!
3. Endless Activities
There is so much to do! There are always so many activities offered at an all-inclusive resort. Everything from classes, to tastings, to competitions and athletic events, to non-motorized water sports, and it is all FREE!! You can’t be board. It’s not possible. Its a great time to do the things you love or try something new!!
4. Broaden Your Horizons
It’s an easy way for your family to get a taste of a new culture, even if you never leave the resort! Typically all of the staff you meet during your stay will be from the country you are visiting. Take the time to get to know your servers, house keepers, child care staff or the entertainment leaders. It will be fun for your children to have a few new words in another language to bring home with them. For a few extra dollars you can take an excursion off of the resort. This is an amazing way to see the area, learn some history, try something new and meet new people! It can be such a learning experience for the whole family!
All-inclusive travel for a family is an excellent option. The last time we traveled to an All-Inclusive resort it was to Azul Fives in Riviera Mexico. It was two adults, 2 eighteen year olds and a 5 year old and we all had a blast! It was the perfect fit for all age groups!
